Alexander's Thistle This is a modern Scottish Thistle design based on Padded Needlelace. (commonly used in Raised Elizabethan designs) Pockets of Needle Lace are stitched directly onto the fabric and then padded to produce raised stitched areas. Metallic thread add texture and appeal to the design. This design is 15 x 16 cm (6 high x 6 ¼ wide inches) in size. Charlotte Rose This design is 16 cm (6 1/4 inches) square in size.
