She has tutored Needlework/Hand Embroidery workshops for Retail Stores and Embroidery Guilds around New Zealand and privately in many varieties of Needlework. She has attended recognised embroidery tutor training seminars with the "Association of New Zealand Embroidery Guilds". ANZEG.
Janet has done freelance writing and designs for magazines around the world. Needle Pointers(USA).Needlecraft(UK).Creative Stitch & Craft(NZ). Threads(NZ).Your Home and Garden(NZ). New Zealand Baby (NZ).etc
Janet has been acknowledged by the New Zealand Government for her contribution to the Arts in New Zealand; at a Garden Reception at Government House (similar to the White House, USA). She has participated in art projects that hang in the New Zealand Parliament building (Beehive).
Recently Janet has taken up woodturning and extending her love of Pyrography onto wooden objects she has made herself.
