Wood Turning Chunks of wood turned on a lathe. See more information and other pieces I have made here |
Fused Glass Layers of glass are fused together in a kiln to produce artistic pieces of art. See more information and other pieces I have made here |
Mono-Printing & Stamping
This style of printing I have used Acrylic paint and built up layers of designs/colours on a Gelli Plate. Household items have been used to put patterns/textures into the paint/paper. I have handmade stamps also to add to the printing. See more information and other pieces I have made here |
Pyrography
Wood Burning Pyrography is how a design is put onto the wood. This craft has been done on timber since the Middle Ages when hot metal pokers were heated in a fire and then designs burnt into timber. Today hot wire is used. See more information and other pieces Janet have made here. |
Pen and Ink
Pictured is a vessel I handmade. The shape and construction is a reminiscent of small vessels etc made with Christmas/Birthday cards. The sections were then crocheted or Buttonhole Hand stitched together. This was very popular mid last century. Click on the photo left, to see the tutorial I have written about it |
