
Silk Easter Eggs Tutorial

These Easter eggs I
designed and hand stitched. They where published in the NZ Home & Garden
Magazine many years ago. The whole project was a hem on a table cloth.
They are stitched on 3 layers of organza fabric. The inner threads used
were Rajmahal Silk thread; 4 strands at a time using Split stitch. The
outlines of the eggs where stitched with silver metallic thread. Each is
is 7.5 x 5cm (3 x 2 inches).
Applique:
The designs below can be used for more than Needlework stitching. How
about appliqueing them down the side of some placemats or a narrow wall
hanging.
Right click on the design blow and save to your
computer.
Then paste into a word document and resize to your desire
