Spacing Out Beads Tutorial

When sewing groups of beads around the
edge of the pincushion pictured below
I wanted to make sure the beads were evenly spaced along the fabric
edge.
1. Below: Hold a ruler up against the
edge of the cushion
and place sewing pins at the desired even spaces apart.
2. Below: Push the pins into the fabric
so that pins don't get caught around the thread while sewing beads on.
3. Below: Now you have evenly spaced
beads along your edge.
I stitched on the beads in groups of three to give a picot look to the
edge.
The instructions in JMD Designs
retail pattern packs are a lot more
detailed than what is given here in this tutorial above.
