The New Zealand Summer is known for the red flowers of the Pohutukawa trees flowering around the sealine. Seashells and seaweed on show. The 4 stars in the design represent the Southern Cross star formation seen in the Southern Hemisphere and found on the New Zealand flag. Those outside of New Zealand may think of a 'Kiwi' as the brown fuzzy fruit. But here it is the nickname we call ourselves after our nation bird the kiwi.
