Bag front size: 25 x 22cm (10 x 8 1/2 inches). Bag side width 5cm (2 inches)
The pansy and leaves are constructed by sewing, padding and then quilted; and sewn to a background with a delicate quilted pansy border. The centre of the quilted pansies and the large sculpted pansy have gold beads sewn on for elegance. The inside of the bag is fully lined with pockets. And of course where ever pansies are there are snails in the garden; so a couple have been quilted to the base of the bag. The whole project is stitched with no adhesives. With easy construction this is a new and exciting way to bring your quilting skills to life.

Why not make small wall hanging from the front and back designs.

I always like to do botanical research before I design a flower or plant. My research of the pansy found originally they had only one large back petal (total of 4 petals). These days they have developed into two back large petals (total of 5 petals). So with this design I did the original species in the 3D pansies and the newer species of two back petals for the quilted pansy border.

Included is: Full sized pattern pieces. Comprehensive step by step piecing and stitching Instructions. Step by step stitch glossary. Shopping list of fabrics etc. Suitable for those new to this style of stitching. All instructions include metric and imperial measurements. All prices are in New Zealand dollars.
