Embellished Applique Wall Hanging Total Size:46 x 42

x 20 inches)
The above has appliqued red Korus (fern
fronds) on top of fabric with a Kowhai flower print. Each pink segment on
the korus is embellished with beads and sequins giving it texture and
movement. Around the edges of the korus are 2 lines of echo quilting and
then quilted lines radiate out to show the setting sun rays.... remembering
the saying... "red and pink at night is a Sheppard's delight". The border is
made of random sized blocks with swirls and soft breezes quilted onto them.
Shown left is a close up of one of the embellished segments on a
koru.
Shown right is a close up of the border.
