The above wall hanging is made of 4
blocks. Can you notice the diagonal rows of blue and green squares hiding
behind the patterned triangles? All blocks are put together using the Paper
English Template technique done by hand stitching. This technique makes joining
points within blocks easy. But machining the pieces together is easily done
also.
Beads, sequins and hand quilting
embellish the quilt giving it texture and movement. Hand dyed aqua blue and
green cotton is used along with a Pacifica leaf pattern in Batik cotton
fabric.
Shown left is a close up of 1 block (4 are used in the hanging.)
Shown right is a close up of the border and binding with it's
embellishments.
