3D Sculptured Quilted Wall Hanging
Total Hanging Size: 38 x 48cm (15 x 19 inches).
Individual Pansies are 12cm
(5 inches) high.
All the
pansies and leaves are constructed by
sewing, padding and then quilted; and sewn to a background with a delicate
quilted pansy border. With easy
construction this is a new and exciting way to bring your quilting skills to
life. The pansies will not wilt with age. Individual pansies are sturdy
enough to be used as a broach if you wish.
The
whole project is stitched....
NO adhesives... No starches...No cardboard....
No raw edges.
I always like to do botanical research
before I design a flower or plant. My research of the pansy found originally
they had only one large back petal (total of 4 petals). These days they have
developed into two back large petals (total of 5 petals). So with this
design I did the original species in the 3D pansies and the newer species of
two back petals for the quilted pansy border.
