In this Stumpwork Needlework
design each segment of the flower petals are individually felt padded and a
beaded centre to the flower. The leaves are wired up off the fabric. The
stems are stitched directly onto the fabric.
The design size is 8cm (3 1/2
inches)
Traditionally linen fabric is stitched on.
A hand dyed Quilting fabric has been used for this design. The
design has been stitched with DMC Rayon threads which are listed. But also 6
stranded cottons are listed you can stitch with if preferred.
All instructions include metric and imperial
measurements. A full comprehensive stitch
glossary and comprehensive stitching instructions are given. All fabric and
threads listed are found easily internationally.
Instructions suitable for those new to this style
of embroidery but have had some experience with a needle and thread before.
