Garden Ponds
These two adorable Blackwork designs could be stitched as cushion covers or
wall pictures etc. Traditionally Blackwork is stitched on white fabric with
black threads. Janet has given a contemporary feel with blue fabric and
black thread. Green fabric could be used also depending if you want to bring
out the pond or garden more. The design with the cat included is 95 square
wide and the design with the large butterflies is 97 squares wide.
Even weave fabric such as Aida or Linen can be
used to stitch on 25 count or #14 count fabric. When choosing the colour
fabric and threads you are going to use, remember to have quite a contrast
shade between the fabric and thread so stitching will show well.
All instructions include metric and imperial
measurements.
Both design graphs and stitch diagrams and
instructions are included. Instructions suitable for those new to this style of
embroidery but have had some experience with a needle and thread before.
