The Blackberries
There are eight
different traditional Mountmellick stitches make up this loving display of
flora from Ireland. Blackberries, Shamrocks and Forget-me-not flowers.
This design could be used on top of a cushion or framed on the wall.
This style of Needlework was also used to adorn bed quilts
and dollies. Stitched squares could be used as quilt blocks, Or the design
stitched piece could be appliquéd onto a bag or similar patchwork item. Also
this style is sturdy enough to stitch on jackets, waistcoats and pockets
etc.
A total of 8

Instructions suitable for those new to this style of
embroidery but have had some experience with a needle and thread before.
Design Size 15 x 15cm (6 x 6inches).
