#14 Aida: 13 x 12 cm (5 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches). The design could be stitched on any
counted thread fabric.
This Blackwork
Owl design is done in traditional Black thread and white fabric. But other
colours can be used. When choosing the colour fabric and threads you are
going to use, remember to have quite a contrast shade between the fabric and
thread. If the shade of thread is not a lot brighter or deeper than the
fabric shade then the stitching will not show up as well.
A shopping list of fabric
and threads etc are given. All fabric and threads are easily found
internationally. Included are detailed stitching instructions with diagrams
and photos etc.
Instructions suitable for those new to this style of
embroidery but have had some experience with a needle and thread before.
